Live Pain Free
PROVEN SOLUTIONS YOU’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR
Is pain limiting your potential? Injuries, repetitive motion, medical conditions, and poor posture among other causes can lead to pain or limitations on your ability to lead the life you desire. We can help you find the least invasive, most effective treatments to enable your body to activate healing from within.
BPC-157
Available in oral tablets or a topical cream, the powerful compound BPC-157 is known as “The Healing Peptide”. This incredible formula offers a myriad of benefits; It is anti-inflammatory, manages pain, and is known to “seek and destroy” damaged cells such as wounds sites. It has been shown to increase collagen, restore tendons, build muscle, improve skin elasticity, and supports organ health while also treating IBS/intestinal disorders.
Therapeutic Botox
When people think of the word “Botox,” they think of smoothing out wrinkly foreheads. Did you know that Botox is actually a therapeutic treatment originally designed to treat muscle spasm? Botox is a neuromodulator which (in small doses) causes a temporary relaxation of muscle fibers.
In therapeutic Botox treatments, we are treating overly stimulated or tense muscles that cause pain – such as the muscles in the neck, the upper trapezius, or in the side or back of the head. Treated muscles can then relax and stay relaxed, causing less muscle tension and therefore less pain. This effect lasts for about 3-4 months and is very helpful for treating muscles which are in a constant state of pain from tension or spasm.
Over time with treatment, these muscles can be “trained” to relax more and stay relaxed so that the tension is much less, and the pain dissipates. As in all Botox treatments, there is an activation period of about 3-7 days for the therapy to take full effect, so therapeutic Botox is primarily used in cases of chronic recurrent muscle pain. Therapeutic Botox is particularly helpful for TMJ, tension migraines, and chronic neck pain.
Shockwave
Shockwave therapy can jump-start the body’s ability to regenerate new tissue. It decreases your pain by directly stimulating your nerves at the site of the injury. There is no electric “shock” with Shockwave, rather it applies high-energy and low-energy pulsations into the injured area. You are likely to experience a decrease of pain/symptoms after your first treatment, and many conditions are resolved in only 6 sessions. Shockwave therapy is recommended for many conditions such as Golfer’s Elbow, Tennis Elbow, Plantar Fasciitis, Shoulder Injuries, Knee Injuries, Low Back Pain, Neck Pain, and Auto Accident Injuries
Labs
In healthcare, correct and fast identification of problems is key. A simple sample of blood or tissue may yield information that can then lead to effective treatment. Because we understand that time is a barrier for many people, Optimal BioHealth has contracted with both Labcorp and Quest to be able to draw labs in house and have the results returned quickly. This cuts down on waiting times and inconvenience for our clients and gives us the essential data we need to provide quality care.
Labs we routinely test include expanded hormone levels, thyroid panels, vitamin levels and allergies. We also run tissue samples and screenings on a case-by-case basis.
PRP: Platelet Rich Plasma
Plasma is the protein and nutrient-dense part of your blood responsible for healing injuries and fighting infection. We are able to draw a small amount of blood and separate the Platelet Rich Plasma from the other elements. This Platelet Rich Plasma is packed with growth factors; the bio-active proteins that drive the body’s natural healing process.
PRP injections are used to treat Back and Neck Pain, Carpal Tunnel, Joint Pain, Arthritis, Golfers Elbow, Tennis Elbow, Bursitis, Chronic Knee Pain, Shoulder Pain, Nerve Injuries, and more.
Red Light Therapy for Healing
Red Light Therapy has been shown to greatly enhance the body’s ability to heal itself. The unique light emitted causes an increase in blood flow, oxygenation, and stimulation of cells in the body resulting in reduced inflammation, elimination of pain, increased collagen production, and reduced fat storage.
Trigger Point Injections
Trigger point injections are small doses of an anesthetic like Lidocaine to relieve pain in trigger points. A “trigger point” is a painful knot in a tight band of muscle that causes a muscle to twitch or spasm. These trigger points can form after muscle trauma, but they can also spontaneously form on their own for different causes such as overuse or body positioning.
The injection itself takes only a few moments, but a session for trigger point injections can take 30 minutes, as several areas usually require treatment. After the session, the area may feel immediately numb, resulting in a rapid reduction in pain. Trigger point injections may reduce some or all the pain in the area, but the pain can come back after the medicine wears off, so trigger point injections are often part of a care plan that includes other treatments – such as Chiropractic care, muscle stretching and strengthening. Trigger point injections are low risk and low cost.
Vitamin D
Vitamin D plays a role in maintaining healthy body functions and healing injuries. Healthy Vitamin D levels accelerate wound healing, restore bone strength, and support immune function to prevent further injuries from occurring during the healing process. Approximately 35% of adults in the United States have Vitamin D deficiency, and many are not aware they are deficient as this is not commonly screened for in routine annual exams. Deficiency can come from several sources, including lack of natural sunlight exposure, malabsorption from the intestine, or a poor diet that prevents Vitamin D from being absorbed properly into the bloodstream. A quick test can check your levels, and if deficient, your practitioner will make an appropriate supplementation recommendation.
