- Symptoms of menopause and andropause typically appear in ones 40’s or 50’s, but can start as early as their mid-30’s.
- During andropause some men develop depression, loss of sex drive, erectile dysfunction and other physical and emotional symptoms.
- Menopause is a point in time 12 months after a woman’s last period. The years leading up to that point, when women may have changes in their monthly cycles, hot flashes, or other symptoms is the menopausal transition called perimenopause.
- Women in post-menopause are at a higher risk for certain health conditions like heart disease and postmenopausal osteoporosis. Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy can help mitigate these risks.
